No mention of Hemp, hello, perfect ballence of 3:1 Omega 3 and 6. Did ya even know that, oh yeah it is also the most abundant as hemp grows so fast. Worthy of a mention, Mabey?

I am a little slow at getting back to this, but hemp falls into the category of omega-3 fatty acids coming from plants (alpha-linolenic acid) , not fish oil (eicosapentaenoic and docosahexaenoic acid). Relative to fish oil, there are relatively few studies of plant omega-3 fatty acids.
October 18th, 2008 - 21:35
I actually knew that, and the fish oils are better. But Omega 3,6,9, in its perfect ballence and abundance. And also 36% high quality protien containing all essential amino acids (Body dosnt produce).
What im getting at is ya cant feed the world with macrel, but it is very possible with hemp.
Plant omegas are more for body/joint lubrication. cleaning out bad fats from the veins/artries.
I havent done enough research but im sure it helps the brain also.
Thanks for replying.

Studies[5][6] were conducted on prisoners in England where the inmates were fed seafood which contains Omega-3 Fatty acids. The higher consumption of these fatty acids corresponded with a drop in the assault rates. Another Finnish study found that prisoners who were convicted of violence had lower levels of omega3 fatty acids than prisoners convicted of nonviolent offenses.

Also, Recent studies have suggested that fish oil may affect depression, and importantly, suicide risk. One such study,[7] took blood samples of 100 suicide-attempt patients and compared the blood samples to those of controls and found that levels of Eicosapentaenoic acid were significantly lower in the washed red blood cells of the suicide-attempt patients.

I believe that it is possible to stay healthy into ripe old age and to prevent, stabilise and even perhaps to reverse, many of the chronic degenerative diseases.
Underpinning all my research and advice is this simple fact. Given the right nutrition and lifestyle, our bodies have amazing powers of self-healing and regeneration.

Omega 3 fatty acids for the win for the brain, there are other foods out there that are good for brain health, but omega 3 works and heals the entire body…it’s amazing and I feel so much better after taking them everyday.

If you want a more vegetarian option to get your Omega 3′s try flaxseed! But you don’t want the flaxseed oil, you want the actual flaxseed because it has fiber and cancer fighting lignans that both flaxseed and fish oil LEAVE OUT! Because you have to have the flax seed grinded up

What that Omega mean?

First of all fish oil supplements are a processed food !and they become Rancid on the process . all fish is contaminated with MERCURY and PCB …want to be healthy grow your own food and dont eat process foods my great grandmother died when she was 105 and she didnot take fish oil and no vitamin pills !! people are lazy to cook so they eat garbage ! and sit on the computure and on the cell phone getting emf radiation . and wonder why they have cancer or high blood pressure !

good topic for debate i see. i like the pill comment (good to know) hate taking pills anyway can never keep taking on a constant basis. if i get omega3 its usually from raw salmon…although dont always have option of salmon being available daily. i do try to eat organic and make food instead of eating out…i also sit my fat ass on the computer.
